Angus is a young male pit mix found as a stray. He soon became a shelter favorite especially for one gentleman who volunteered at the shelter. This man worked with Angus to help him become the great dog he knew he could be with a little TLC, obedience training and love. He wanted to adopt Angus.
Unfortunately, Angus contracted Lyme disease which kept him isolated and not able to keep up with his training.
When Angus did come out of his crate with a little too much enthusiasm, he accidentally bit the ACOs hand instead of the toy she had in her hand.
Shelter policy was to kill the dog.
We were asked to save Angus the day before he was to be killed. With the planets lining up perfectly in Angus' favor, and the help of our local attorney Kristina Bryant we were able to save his life. Angus did well on his evaluation, was neutered and went to him forever home with the person who had wanted to adopt him.
