Poor Daisy. First she was in a home where a child wouldn't stop pestering her. When she finally had had enough, she nipped her as a warning. No medical treatment was needed. But instead of telling the child no and explain how to be around a dog, the family returned the Daisy. She was then adopted by a gentleman who loved her but set her up to fail in too many ways to even begin. When he lost his home, car, etc., he turned to us and we reached out within the greyhound community. Of course, it wasn't too long before someone stepped up and took Daisy in as part off their pack. Unfortunately, it was discovered that Daisy had heart worm which we immediately addressed with her new owners. Daisy is living a wonderful and healthy life with her greyhound moms and sister on Long Island.
