Lilo and Stitch

Lilo and Stitch two beautiful pitbulls who got out, ran to a neighbors house and were seized when Fort Worth animal control was called because neighbor said the dogs were dangerous and wanted to hurt her. The neighbor and dog owner did not have a good relationship, it was unfortunate, but they used the dogs as their pawn. The dogs were ordered to be killed.

We were contacted by the dogs owner and in turn reached out to local counsel but could not find anyone local who was available so we offered to pay out of our general fund for a firm to quarterback the case and a more local firm to file the papers and appear in court. We actually had 3 firms working on this case and wracked up over 18k worth of fees, not attorney fees, FEES. Thankfully, the law firms accepted what we had taken in via "chip in" that  the Facebook page fund raised.

The dogs remained confined from September until December when they were reunited with their owner. A special thanks to Christiana Dyjman who quarterbacked the case and helped to bring these dogs back home.
