Daisy an 11-year-old beagle and her standard poodle brother suddenly had their world turned upside down when their owner died and no provisions were made for the dogs.
Almost immediately somebody adopted her brother and that left Daisy all alone in the house where she had lived with her owner and brother.
The owner's son came to the house every day and fed her let her out but spent no time with her. He had so much guilt over the fact that Daisy was alone that he overfed her but did not exercise her and Daisy became extremely obese. This went on for. 9 months of Daisy living alone.
We learned of this situation and immediately got the word out about poor Daisy.
Within a week, Daisy was adopted by a family with twins who had another Beagle for Daisy to play with.
Daisy was put on a diet, vetted and lived happily ever after with her new and forever family.
