Mickey

Arizona

Mickey, a strong, large American bull dog/mix  was chained up in his backyard with his bone lying on the ground  nearby.

Kevin, a typical and curious 4 year old boy, who was under a babysitters care went into Mickey's yard unsupervised and went to pick up the bone.

Mickey lunged and attacked Kevin (resource guarding is not uncommon, especially on a dogs "territory") and because of the little boys size, when the dog lunged, he got Kevin's face.

Kevin received a massive bite to his face that required several surgeries to reconstruct his face.

The owner of Mickey, turned his back on Mickey and turned him into animal control to be killed.

The Lexus Project was asked to help Mickey. With the help of local law firm, Schill Law Group, not only did TLP have acceptable standing with our "trust" inAZ, Mickeys life was sparred.

Mickey will not be adopted out, however he will spend his life as the pampered guest at Sheriff Joe's MASH unit in AZ.

As of the day of Mickey's ruling, no charges have been filed against the negligent babysitter.
